Script and Storyboard

3rd Day of Week Three!

During the time in school my group and myself have collaborated on a script and storyboard for Static.

Initial Thoughts:

My group and myself thoughts when thinking of the storyboard and script is "How can we portray clear understanding of the plot, context as well as purpose within our film?". Mystery films while creating mystery and suspense within its genre it continues to progress with clues or details within the plot of the story that reveal the entire story. Given the time and restrictions within the project, our group will not have the full accessibility to work with long time span for filming and extra scenes. Our ultimate goal is creating a captivating mystery film that intrigues the auidence without giving away to many details away and make the storyline fun and playful reflecting with our experinces creating the film.

Storyboard:

Within the beginning of the film will the credit sequence of our film. Unlike a visually plain opening, our sequence will incorporate the shots of our main protagonist Avery. With inspiration of the film Vertigo by Hitchcock opening sequence of extreme close ups and panning of a woman's face. We choose this has inspiration as it features cool way visually appealing to the auidence. Therefore, within the first couple of shots will mostly be extreme close-up's, side views, and mid-shot's of Avery. With these camera techniques we want the auidence to feel very close and personal as if they were witnessing first hand this experience. Within planning our storyboard we created set designs to visually capture the environment and setting of our story that we have visual reference to execute our visual idea of this prison. With the use of editing and playing with lighting with our camera techniques, set design, sound and costume design our goal is to capture and eerie prison cell that leads to more questions than answers where the auidences feels intriguided while viewing the story.

Script:

Within our script we included the Production Name and Company Name along with the responding credits. We have broken down the script into four flashbacks. These scenes in order of when each dialogue occurs. We choose to make a script on dialogue since it was was best for us to follow and reference when filming each flashback with the cast of characters. The actors would have reference to the lines or events happening each scene. In the link below you will see the Script broken down by each dialogue said in each flashback. Using our storyboard above helped us have a reference to capture what the scenes will look like and entail to format a full readable script to follow within our shooting process.
