Week 5!
As the week approaches to the end, I would like to end of this week's post with scene Development. How did the creation of our script and ideas influence what each scene would look like and incorporate through shooting.
Planning:
Our initial planning when creating our scenes was to incorporate foreshadowing of some sort and subtle hints and clues to the overall plot of the story. Our group as well wanted to add something visually eye catching to the background or setting. It led the too ultimate plan and execution of creating doodles and repetition of a name on the wall of our backdrop. The next brainstorm we conducted was making a detailed scene breakdown or order of events towards our story. It began first with having our credit sequence leading into introduction or development of our character. The following scenes would develop the storyline and details into the mysterious elements of our storyline. The ending scenes would continue to add mystery while still adding continuation of the story.
I added the first stages of our story board since to reference the first constructive planning my group and I initatied within planning the details and events in each scenes. You can reference our entire storyboard in my blog https://eattraveljade.blogspot.com/search?q=script (Script and Storyboard). Our group had many group calls via whatsapp where we were able discuss and show our location and space to work with before any shooting took place.
Purpose of Static/How is it's development key within our Production:
Our scenes are developed into credit sequence, flashback scene, final recollection moments of Avery. Our first scene our credit entails the development of our character Avery while she is in jail. Showing the detailed area of her surroundings and adding some mystery. Adding questions on Who? What? and Why? We developed our credit scene to still incorporate our film but not in a boring way. This scene while still displaying our credits develops background and insight onto what will happen in our story. Intrigues the viewer with curiosity within this beginning scene. For the flashback scenes these past memories were to give clues and further detail on how did Avery get to where she is.
The rest of our story and scenes reflect towards background and evidence toward the audience on the reasoning behind the film, as well as perfectly capture our representation elements discussed in my blog Media Theory. Static will reflect the genre mystery and pyschological horror. Reflect the theory or Gender Representation within our scenes. The overall purpose and goal is to capture our target audience into coherently understanding the purpose, vision, and theme of this project. Although our work is amateur and not at the highest level to be showcased our work in greater detail and wider attention this small project reflects the skills and resources myself and team used to develop our own creative work.
